The Nose Knows.

Quick post today boys and girls, I've got lots of moaning and whining to get back to.

Surgery went not so well -much more extensive than the doc thought it would be. He found 6 more polyps than he originally thought were there, each of which proved ridiculously hard to get out. In fact, they were all located in some little tiny area that was blocked off by an array of bone. So he had to move said bone to get to them. When your bones move and they're not supposed to, we're talking pain. Here, allow me to detail exactly what happened to me:

First things first, the deviated septum. Mine was like the one on the right, now it (hopefully) is like the one of the left:

Then, the turbinate reduction, which is a fancy name for "Removing Shit In Your Nose That's Way Too Big":

And finally, the 7 polyps. Obviously I couldn't find a picture that showed exactly where mine were, but here's the idea of what a polyp is (Again, a fancy name for "growth of nasty shit"):

So there you have it. Multiply the last one 7 times, and 2 hours later I was laying in a recovery room just full of enthusiasm for the days of pain that laid ahead of me. What a life I lead. The nurses were nice though, even if they wouldn't let me leave and made me stay overnight....alright fine. They were right. I mean, I fainted when I tried to pee. That's gotta say something about your general state of health.

More on this later, my fellow bloggers. Blog well and live.
